Applicants fulfilling the following criteria will be eligible to apply for the programme:
1. MBBS degree (recognized by Medical Council of India)
2. Current position in Central/State Government, preferably in HIV/AIDS Control Programme, sponsored on deputation for 1 year on a full time basis.
3. Minimum two years experience in public health/HIV surveillance or programme related activities.
4. Age 40 years or less as on the date of commencement of the course (1st July). Relaxable in exceptional cases and for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government of India rules.
SELECTION OF STUDENTS:
The candidates should be nominated by the Central/State Government. A selection committee constituted and approved by the Director of SCTIMST will select the nominated students for the course based on the review of the applications, written test and/or personal interview.
Reservation of seats will be as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates being followed by SCTIMST. Mere possession of the eligibility criteria will not entail selection for the course. The decision of the Director, SCTIMST shall be final for the selection of the candidates.
The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the Institute’s Website: www.nie.gov.inThe prescribed application form given in the website or its photocopy alone should be used. Application in any other form will not be considered.
Applications should be submitted along with the application fee of Rs.600/= (Rupees Six hundred only) by means of a Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of “SCTIMST” payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
Applications without the application fee will not be considered.
Candidates should enclose Sponsorship Letter from the employer, in original, in the specified format (given in the Application Form), along with the application or produce the same at the time of interview.
