Sugar Institute (ANSI) In Sugar Technology:

(On merit basis of written entrance examination to be held on 26th & 27th June 2010).
Minimum Qualifications: B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering having secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate, provided that in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes minimum marks will be 40%.
The candidates, who have appeared in the final examination of minimum prescribed qualification for A.N.S.I. (Sugar Technology) courses, can also apply for admission.
However they are required to provide the attested copy of the original mark sheet or Internet Mark Sheet duly verified by the University of the final examination result at the time of counseling (as given in the letter to be issued to provisionally selected candidates) failing which they will not be admitted and no relaxation is possible to be given on this account.

2) Postgraduate Diploma Course of Associateship of National Sugar Institute (ANSI) In Sugar Engineering:
(On merit basis of written entrance examination to be held on 27th June 2010)
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Production or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
The candidates who have appeared in the final examination of minimum prescribed qualification for ANSI (Sugar Engineering) courses, can also apply for admission.
However they are required to provide the attested copy of the original mark sheet or Internet Mark Sheet duly verified by the University of the final examination result at the time of counseling (as given in the letter to be issued to provisionally selected candidates) failing which they will not be admitted and no relaxation is possible to be given on this account.

3) Postgraduate Diploma Course in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology (DIFAT):
B.Sc. with Chemistry as One of the subjects with one year experience, after passing the B.Sc. in a Distillery/Brewery on a technical post as on 15.03.2010.
Experience will be counted from the day after the date of issue of B.Sc. Marksheet and up to 15.03.2010. Nomination from Distillery or/Brewery is essential.

4) Certificate Course in Sugar Engineering (SECC):
Minimum Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Production or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Technology of a recognized technical school/college or Polytechnic. Nomination from a vacuum pan sugar factory is essential.

5) Certificate Course in Sugar Boiling (SBCC):
Minimum Qualification: Matriculate with Science/Agriculture and one
season’s Sugar Boiling Experience in a Vacuum pan sugar factory.
Experience will be counted from the day after the date of issue of High
School Marksheet. Nomination from a vacuum pan sugar factory is
essential.

6) Pre Harvest Cane Maturity Survey Certificate Course:
Minimum Qualification: Intermediate with Science or equivalent with two years experience in a sugar factory laboratory or fieldwork as on 15.03.2010.
Experience will be counted from the day after the date of issue of Intermediate Marksheet and up to 15.03.2010 only. Nomination from a vacuum pan sugar factory is essential.

7) Fellowship of National Sugar Institute (FNSI) By Research:
(i) I.F.N.S.I. In Sugar Technology
(ii) II.F.N.S.I. In Sugar Chemistry
Minimum Qualification: A.N.S.I. In Sugar Technology.
(iii) F.N.S.I. In Sugar Engineering
Minimum Qualification: A.N.S.I. In Sugar Engineering
(iv) F.N.S.I. in Fermentation Technology
Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol
Technology (DIFAT)
Application for F.N.S.I. in Sugar Technology & Sugar Engineering should be sponsored by a Sugar factory for carrying out the research work pertaining to this course. Similarly application for F.N.S.I. in Fermentation Technology should be sponsored by a Distillery
or Brewery for carrying out the research work pertaining to this course. In case the application is not duly sponsored it would be rejected.

AGE: The maximum age of candidate for the purpose of admission to the various courses shall be 35 years as on 31.07.2010. Candidates born on or after 31.7.75 only will be considered.

Application form can be obtained from the NATIONAL SUGAR INSTITUTE, KALIANPUR, KANPUR-208 017 against Cash payment of Rs.600/-(For SC/ST Rs.400/-) from 05.04.2010.

If one desires to obtain the application form by post, he should remit Rs.600/- (For SC/ST Rs.400/-) by Money Order only payable to DIRECTOR, NATIONAL SUGAR INSTITUTE, KANPUR. Candidates are advised to give their names and postal address in CAPTIAL LETTERS ON MONEY ORDER FORM, CHEQUES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The application form can be sent by post only when the request for the same is received in the office of the DIRECTOR on or before 26 April 2010, as the last date of submission of complete application form is 17.05.2010. The forms can however be personally collected from the Institute up to last date of submission of forms after making due payment.

Application on prescribed forms, completed in all respects with attested copies of certificates should be sent in an ENVELOPE Marked “Admission-2010” by registered A.D. so as to reach to the DIRECTOR, NATIONAL SUGAR INSTITUTE, KALIANPUR, KANPUR-208 017 (U.P.) on or before 17.05.2010.

Late receipt of application forms by the candidates will not be considered as an excuse for late submission of the application. It is, therefore, necessary that the candidates should try to get the application forms sufficiently in advance so that the applications duly completed are submitted well in time.

Application received in the office of the DIRECTOR, NATIONAL SUGAR INSTITUTE, KALIANPUR, KANPUR after 17th May 2010 will not be considered under any circumstances.

Admission to A.N.S.I. (Sugar Technology) and A.N.S.I. (Sugar Engineering) courses will be made on the basis of admission tests conducted at four centers namely KANPUR, DELHI, KOLKATA AND CHENNAI.

For rest of the courses, selection will be made on the basis of interview to be held at NATIONAL SUGAR INSTITUTE, KALIANPUR, Kanpur sometime in July 2010. For A.N.S.I. (Sugar Technology) written test shall be conducted (in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each paper having maximum marks of 100 and 3 hours duration) of B.Sc. standard.

For A.N.S.I (Sugar Engineering) written test shall be conducted in one paper of maximum marks of 100 marks and 3 hours duration (Two sections of equal marks one of Mechanical Engineering & the other of Electrical Engineering).

Candidates have the option to write the answers in either English or Hindi but all questions should be answered in one language only.
