Good academic record with 50% and above marks at Graduate level is essential for admission to M.A. courses and 55% and above marks at Post-graduate level for admission to Ph.D. courses. Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) Admission to MBA Program 2011-12

The candidates must hold a Bachelor s Degree, with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe), of any of the Universities incorporated in any act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institution established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956

OR

Possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The Bachelor s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

Candidates appearing for the final examination of bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification can also apply.

Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally and will be required to submit the result/Marksheet by 31st July 2011.

Candidates applying for MBA are required to have qualified in CAT-2010. The admission to MBA will be on the basis of CAT score, Group discussion/Personal interview.

Cutoff percentile and selection criteria in case of tie in CAT score shall be decided by the Institute. Sponsored candidates will be selected through institute test/interview. Any student seeking admission under this category shall be working on a regular post in any Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector Units/AICTE approved Academic Institutes/Research Organizations/Public Limited Company for a minimum of 02 years, after graduation.

Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. (SC / ST candidates can apply with 45% marks). Those who have appeared for the qualifying examination in March / April, 2011 may also apply).
AGE LIMIT: Below 21 years as on 1st August, 2011 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)

Eligibility Condition: Applications will be entertained only on the applicant fulfilling the following criteria:
1. Applicant must have secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST applicants) in 10+2 or equivalent examinations. Applicant’s awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also appear for the test on the condition that they produce proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks at the time of admission.

3. Eligible candidates should apply in the prescribed form no later than 10th May, 2011.
4. Applicant must provide complete and accurate information in the Application Form. Failure to furnish all supporting credentials or the furnishing of incorrect information may invalidate admission and registration. Applicants should retain copies of all items submitted as part of the admission application.
Foreign National/NRI/NRI Sponsored Category:
1. The deadline to submit the application for Foreign National/ NRI/NRI Sponsored category is the same as that for resident Indians (i.e., 10th May, 2011), but it is suggested that Foreign National/NRI/NRI Sponsored candidates apply as early as possible to allow sufficient time for credentials evaluation and degree equivalence.
2. The NRI/NRI Sponsored students will be admitted on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination, overall academic record and proficiency in English language.
3. Admission of Foreign Nationals shall be made if the prescribed academic qualifications are met with.
Unlike resident Indians/NRI/NRI Sponsored applicants, they are exempt from taking the NLUO Admission Test. The other rules regarding the eligibility for admission will be applicable as applicable to other candidates. All foreign national candidates must apply directly to the Registrar, National Law University, Orissa, in the prescribed application form with supporting documents by 10th May, 2011.

2.) Conjoint LL.M – Ph.D Degree Program:
Candidate should have passed B.A.LL.B. /LL.B. /B.L. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized University and must have secured at least 60% of marks in the aggregate of the maximum marks prescribed. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also appear for the test on the condition that they will have to produce at the time of admission proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks.
TOTAL SEATS: 5 seats
Candidates for LL.M.-Ph.D. course shall be selected by the Admission Committee, based on a combined assessment of:
a) The performance at the admission test conducted by the National Law University, Orissa; on 22nd May, 2011 at multiple test centres across India and
b) Performance at the interview to determine the aptitude for higher studies and research in Law.

National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in HIV Epidemiology

Admission is open to government sponsored candidates only. Five (05) candidates will be admitted to the July 2011 academic session.

Applicants fulfilling the following criteria will be eligible to apply for the programme:

1. MBBS degree (recognized by Medical Council of India)

2. Current position in Central/State Government, preferably in HIV/AIDS Control Programme, sponsored on deputation for 1 year on a full time basis.

3. Minimum two years experience in public health/HIV surveillance or programme related activities.

4. Age 40 years or less as on the date of commencement of the course (1st July). Relaxable in exceptional cases and for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per Government of India rules.

SELECTION OF STUDENTS:
The candidates should be nominated by the Central/State Government. A selection committee constituted and approved by the Director of SCTIMST will select the nominated students for the course based on the review of the applications, written test and/or personal interview.

Reservation of seats will be as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates being followed by SCTIMST. Mere possession of the eligibility criteria will not entail selection for the course. The decision of the Director, SCTIMST shall be final for the selection of the candidates.

Applications without the application fee will not be considered.

Minimum Qualifications: B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering having secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate, provided that in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes minimum marks will be 40%.
The candidates, who have appeared in the final examination of minimum prescribed qualification for A.N.S.I. (Sugar Technology) courses, can also apply for admission.
However they are required to provide the attested copy of the original mark sheet or Internet Mark Sheet duly verified by the University of the final examination result at the time of counseling (as given in the letter to be issued to provisionally selected candidates) failing which they will not be admitted and no relaxation is possible to be given on this account.

2) Postgraduate Diploma Course of Associateship of National Sugar Institute (ANSI) In Sugar Engineering:
(On merit basis of written entrance examination to be held on 27th June 2010)
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Production or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
The candidates who have appeared in the final examination of minimum prescribed qualification for ANSI (Sugar Engineering) courses, can also apply for admission.
However they are required to provide the attested copy of the original mark sheet or Internet Mark Sheet duly verified by the University of the final examination result at the time of counseling (as given in the letter to be issued to provisionally selected candidates) failing which they will not be admitted and no relaxation is possible to be given on this account.

3) Postgraduate Diploma Course in Industrial Fermentation and Alcohol Technology (DIFAT):
B.Sc. with Chemistry as One of the subjects with one year experience, after passing the B.Sc. in a Distillery/Brewery on a technical post as on 15.03.2010.

4) Certificate Course in Sugar Engineering (SECC):

5) Certificate Course in Sugar Boiling (SBCC):
Minimum Qualification: Matriculate with Science/Agriculture and one
season’s Sugar Boiling Experience in a Vacuum pan sugar factory.

6) Pre Harvest Cane Maturity Survey Certificate Course:

or Brewery for carrying out the research work pertaining to this course. In case the application is not duly sponsored it would be rejected.

AGE: The maximum age of candidate for the purpose of admission to the various courses shall be 35 years as on 31.07.2010. Candidates born on or after 31.7.75 only will be considered.

Application form can be obtained from the NATIONAL SUGAR INSTITUTE, KALIANPUR, KANPUR-208 017 against Cash payment of Rs.600/-(For SC/ST Rs.400/-) from 05.04.2010.

If one desires to obtain the application form by post, he should remit Rs.600/- (For SC/ST Rs.400/-) by Money Order only payable to DIRECTOR, NATIONAL SUGAR INSTITUTE, KANPUR. Candidates are advised to give their names and postal address in CAPTIAL LETTERS ON MONEY ORDER FORM, CHEQUES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

(Sugar Technology) written test shall be conducted (in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, each paper having maximum marks of 100 and 3 hours duration) of B.Sc. standard.

For A.N.S.I (Sugar Engineering) written test shall be conducted in one paper of maximum marks of 100 marks and 3 hours duration (Two sections of equal marks one of Mechanical Engineering & the other of Electrical Engineering).

Candidates have the option to write the answers in either English or Hindi but all questions should be answered in one language only.

Candidates possessing MBBS degree from any recognized institution are eligible to apply for the course. The course is open to both Fresh as well as In-service MBBS Graduates.

In-service personnel with the above qualifications working in health institutions/organizations in Central/State governments or Public Sector having 5 years experience, of which at least 3 years should be in public health activities are eligible.

Such candidates, at the time of counseling for admission, would need to furnish a letter from their employer that, if they are admitted, they would be relieved for two years for undertaking the course on a full-time basis at NCDC.

Fellowships will be given in the following priority areas emerging from the concerns expressed in NCF-2005:

1) Education of the Disadvantaged: Disadvantages of different kinds because of belonging to scheduled and backward castes, scheduled tribes, and minority communities, and due to gender, disability, and living in difficult circumstances.

2) Classroom Processes and Practices: Multi-grade teaching, over-crowded schoolrooms, medium of instruction, languages used in the class, teaching-learning process, teacher concerns, evaluation practices, disciplinary techniques, and space and time management.

3. Curricular Areas: Teaching of science, mathematics, languages, social sciences, arts and crafts, work and vocational education, environmental sciences, and health and physical education.

4. Education for Peace: Conflict and its resolution in different spheres, problem of violence, respect for cultural diversity, values for living in harmony with people and nature, child rights, and sustainable development.

5. Psycho-social Development of Children: Development of self, relationships and social skills, understanding and cognitive skills, communication skills, leadership, decision making, and coping with stress.

1. Good Academic record with at least 55% marks at the Master’s degree level.
2. Candidates should not be more than 35 years of age as on the last date of receipt of applications.
