The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites applications for its UG and PG courses in IGNOU IN Master's in Education Special Education (MEDSE) and Bachelor's in Education Special Education (BEDSE) courses. 

The last date for receipt of request of prospectus for this UG and PG courses in IGNOU by post is December 23, 2011. 

The last date to apply is December 31, 2011. 

The programmes offered in UG and PG courses in IGNOU are MEDSE in Hearing Impairment (MEDSEHM), MEDSE in Learning Disability (MEDSELD), MEDSE in Visual Impairment (MEDSEVI), MEDSE in Mental Retardation (MEDSEMR), BEDSE in Hearing Impairment, BEDSE in Visual Impairment, BEDSE in Mental Retardation.

AIEEE exam dates for 2012:

The All-India Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE), AIEEE exam is conducted by CBSE, Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development in compliance with the directives of the Government of India, AIEEE exam is for admission to degree level courses in Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture. 

Last date for online submission of application for AIEEE exam is December 31, 2011

Receipt of completed confirmation is January 5, 2012

Offline AIEEE exam will be conducted on April 29, 2012

Online AIEEE exam will be held from May 7 - 26, 2012

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE exam is that the candidate must have passed in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination from a recognised Board/ university with 50 per cent marks for general category candidates and 40 per cent marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. 

Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear for AIEEE provisionally. 

Admission to AIEEE exam is meant for Indian nationals only.

Age limit:

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1987 are eligible.

However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years,

i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 1, 1982 are eligible.

Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic.

The completed application form should be sent along with the prescribed fees of Rs. 1850 in the form of a crossed Demand Draft . Demand drafts should be drawn in favour of Birla Institute of Management Technology payable at Noida/Greater Noida/New Delhi.
