Application form and other details are also available on the University website www.dcrustm.org and www.dcrustm.ac.in .

Such candidates who download the application form must attach a Bank Draft of Rs.600/ -(Rs.150/-in case of SC/BC candidates of Haryana) in favour of Registrar of the University payable at State Bank of India, Sonepat.

A student seeking admission to any Programme must fulfill the following criteria:

He should have passed the qualifying examination of Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks (or equivalent cumulative grade point index), OR

He should have passed any other qualifying degree / diploma examination considered as equivalent by Nirma University (with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CPI).

Candidates who have appeared for the final semester qualifying examination may also apply. The results of such applicants have to be submitted to Member Secretary, PG-ENGG. immediately on declaration of result, which should be on or before 30 days of commencement of semester. Failing to do so the admission is liable to be cancelled. However such candidate has to produce a certificate from the head of the Institute certifying that he / she has already appeared for exam.

For sponsored category the applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in the related field after passing qualifying examination on the last date of submission of application. He / She should produce certificate from the sponsoring organization in the Proforma provided in the application form along with experience certificate, last pay certificate and provident fund slip.

Admissions to BE / B.Tech. programmes shall be made on the basis of merit in AIEEE – 2011 to be conducted by CBSE on 1st May, 2011. Only those candidates shall be eligible, who score at least 20% (15% for SC / ST) aggregate marks in AIEEE – 2011. In addition, minimum 60% (55% for SC / ST) marks in aggregate of Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science at 10+2 level or equivalent examination are also required to be eligible for admission.

50% of the seats are reserved for the candidates who have passed (or appearing) in their +2 examination from institutions located in Punjab.

For all other Programmes: The admission shall be made on the merit of the Entrance Test.

The candidate can purchase the application form from the University Counter or by post or from select branches of AXIS Bank or by filling the application form on the University Website www.thapar.edu

BE / B.Tech. candidates seeking admission in this university on the basis of AIEEE – 2011 have to submit separate application to this University on prescribed form.

Fees:

From University Counter by Cash: Rs.1600/-
By Post by sending a DD: Rs.1550/-
Entrance Test fee for each discipline / program: Rs.1000/-

Candidates filling the application on the website must fill the complete details and then take out the print of the form. Attach the required amount of DD (Rs.1500/- for BE/ B.Tech. and Rs.2500/- per application for any other program) and send it to the “Incharge Admission Cell”.
